PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR-QUARRY - 2025-5254

Burlington, WI

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the quarry to ensure the safe, efficient, and consistent production of aggregate materials. This role ensures all activities meet quality standards, production targets, and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the GM, the Production Supervisor oversees production crews, coordinates maintenance activities, promotes a strong safety culture, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance at the site.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions                                                                

  • Supervise daily quarry production activities to meet established safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Monitor equipment and production processes, adjusting as needed to maintain efficiency.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Support stripping and blasting activities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company policies and MSHA guidelines.
  • Assist with safety inspections, training sessions, and emergency drills.
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of hourly employees to meet operational expectations.
  • Assign daily tasks, manage schedules, and ensure proper staffing levels.
  • Communicate daily with the General Manager regarding priorities, issues, and progress.
  • Assist in tracking production data and preparing basic reports.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with union employees and support adherence to collective bargaining agreements.
  • Support inventory control and ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work in all weather conditions in a quarry environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA’s and certifications)

  • 2–3 years of experience in aggregate, mining, or manufacturing operations.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with an understanding of plant and mobile equipment.
  • Ability to follow production schedules and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to build professional relationships with team members and other departments

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, business, operations management, or related field
  • MSHA experience
  • Supervisory experience
